MangMang

MangMang aka HRM Queen Mang was a stray who had a number of health problems when we first met. She was scrawny, voiceless (well ok she had a soft but raspy one), couldn’t hear very well and seemed to suffer from fits occasionally. Mang used to stay in a little box outside the door and roamed around hoping to find some food. She remembered the feeding schedule around the block though, so she got fed more often than not. Mang really loves people, but doesn’t like many other cats (except MngMng). Now she lives with us, her sister Millie and Mollie, and the HamHams. Mang’s also the resident Maneneko, and many can tell why. She no longer has fits, is a good 6.3kg, and seems to have found a little bit of her voice back. Her ears remain a problem with polyps though. Mang loves sitting on boxes, napping, and being cheeky in the middle of the night. She also loves Royal Canin Exigent cat food…

Millie
DOB: 4 March 2005
AKA: Silly Millie, Dirty Millie, Muddy Millie, Mi

Millie was found on 19 June 2005, our customary wedding day, at a shipyard with her sister. We adopted Millie a couple of weeks later from the ASD. She was about 14 weeks old. Millie’s a great pup in the home and has been so easy to teach. We realized she’s got some herding instincts in her, and concluded that she may be a Border Collie Mix. She’s made some appearances in doggie demos for the ASD, on the walls of the Big O cafe, and will be featured in ASD’s 2008 calendar.This Mummy is really proud of her for the opportunities to make adoption a better known choice to the public. Mollie

Mollie came to our home in March of 2007. She was 11 months old by then and is such a sweet puppy. Mollie has such a loving heart for people and would be trying to hug and kiss everyone she met. She used to be a little wary of HRM Queen Mang, but has since become quite close to her. Millie’s been rather receptive to her as well, even though they are quite different in nature. Mollie loves chewing though, and can amazingly open drawers with her paws – and my drawers have no handles. Despite the little(?) things that she’s destroyed since arriving (it’s slowly improving though ), she’s such a lovely pooch to have. She now enjoys playing with Millie everyday, having lotsa nice toys to chase and chew, weekly trips to the doggie park and meeting her friends, as well as a monthly run at the hash! The HamHams
DOB: October and November 2005
AKA: Boo, Hamtaro (rip), Creamer, Bijoux (rip), Juwellen (rip)

The HamHams were a duo at first with Boo and Hamtaro. Boo was a comical one – he’s a little … slow… and looked kinda lazy. His brother Hamtaro was the total opposite. He was vivacious, lively and never stopped running around. As expected, Boo became a ball of a ham and Hamtaro was always very fit. (He once twisted his little leg and sprained it but continued to run around hyper until I put him in a small box and went to the vet.)Creamer, Bijoux and Juwellen joined the duo about a month later. Creamer is a sapphire ham, and AS loves Creamer. She’s got such huge eyes and a really calm nature. Bijoux and Juwellen were difficult to tell apart because they really looked similar (hence the names – same thing but different). Both the white balls only looked different when I noticed one had more gray hairs than the other. Still, they looked the same, until Juwellen developed some problem with her balance. She started to walk tilted on one side. It’s improved with vitamins and she’s become a real sweetie now. Bijoux on the other hand was the female version of Hamtaro. She’s all active and playful, and never stopped running around much. Unfortunately, the three sisters don’t have very good skin.Hamtaro, Bijoux and Juwellen are survived by Boo and Creamer.
